Required Occupational Qualifications

Applicants must be available for 4 hours of testing and staff interaction on a weekday from 2-6 p.m. During this time they will be evaluated for the following qualities:

  • Genuine concern for our clients and their pets.
  • Enjoyment for a high-energy environment and public interaction.
  • Strong desire to learn and a willingness to participate in continuing education.
  • Ability to remain pleasant in unpleasant situations.
  • Desire to work with the current staff.

All employees should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without physical difficulty and be able to function within a stressful atmosphere without serious health concerns.  Our facility has maximized the available space; therefore, employees must be able to move around in minimal spaces.  As a medical profession we are required to update our procedures and continue education regularly.  All employees, regardless of job title must possess the ability and desire to learn and grow in a changing health care environment.  All employees must possess the ability to hear clients and to communicate verbally with them on the phone and in person.  All employees must be able to treat each client’s unique concerns with respect, and be able to remain pleasant and helpful at all times.  All employees must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work.

Receptionists must have a desire to learn and possess good basic math, reading and language skills with English as one language.  Full-time receptionists must be available to work during all regular business hours during the week and on Saturdays.
